Jennifer Lopez Rios A first-generation college student from Pittsburg High with a 4.08 GPA, Jennifer will attend UC Berkeley to study Criminal Justice and Political Science. She earned the Academic Achievers Award every semester and completed over 337 hours of community service.Active in leadership roles with Global Glimpse and the Jr. Women’s Academy, she’s also a swim instructor and student-athlete.Jennifer’s resilience and commitment to justice are shaped by family challenges and a deep desire to uplift her community.
Angel Tillery A 4.12 GPA student from Pittsburg High, Angel is a first-generation college student attending a Historic Black University to study Technical Engineering. She led the Pittsburgh Marching Band, founded the Majorette Team, and served as President of the Black Student Union for four years.Balancing academics, In’N’Out shifts, and community leadership, she also volunteered with the SF Veterans Hospital and American Legion Girls State.Known for her resilience, empathy, and determination, Angel rose above family challenges as one of nine children with limited support.
Jenesis DeJesus A 4.2 GPA student from Pittsburg High, Jenesis will attend Cal Poly to study Environmental Policy and Management, aspiring to become an environmental attorney.She served as ASB President, was a four-year Student Leaders Ambassador, and placed first in the MLK Jr. Spoken Word Contest.With 10 years of competitive dance experience and leadership as team captain, she also works as a dance instructor.Jenesis is known for her passion for the environment, uplifting spirit, and genuine care for others.
Aiesha Mousa A 3.7 GPA graduate from El Cerrito High, Aiesha will attend UCLA to study Psychology. Despite limited parental support, she demonstrated independence by working multiple jobs to buy her own car and learning basic mechanics with friends. A varsity athlete in water polo, soccer, and swim—despite no prior experience—she also led pottery workshops and served as VP of the Culinary Club. Aiesha is admired for her time management, resilience, and strong leadership across work, academics, and service. Vivian Wang A 4.47 GPA student from Campolindo High, Vivian will attend Johns Hopkins University to study Public Health and Applied Mathematics, aiming to become a pediatric physician.She founded “Stepping into STEM,” interned at Stanford and Helms Labs, and earned top honors in Academic Decathlon and science fairs.A skilled violinist and pianist, she also participated in cheerleading, lacrosse, tutoring, and volunteer service.Vivian’s drive, humility, and passion for research and equity shine despite personal hardships and a modest family background.
